Fat Guy Scuba Supply was built on a personal reality: finding scuba gear that fits should not be one of the hardest parts of becoming—or staying—a diver.
After cancer treatment, I found myself in a different body and faced a problem that many larger-bodied divers already knew too well. Gear shopping could be frustrating, discouraging, and unnecessarily complicated. Size charts did not always tell the full story. “Standard” sizing often did not feel standard. And when gear did not fit comfortably, it could affect confidence before you ever reached the water.
That experience led to Fat Guy Scuba Supply.
We created FGSS to help divers find quality equipment with comfort, fit, function, and real-world use in mind. Whether you are returning to the water after a life change, building your first kit, replacing equipment that no longer works for you, or simply tired of wondering whether a piece of gear will fit, you deserve options and straight answers.

“Fat Guy” is in our name because we believe in saying the quiet part out loud: scuba diving has room for all kinds of bodies, but the gear-buying experience has not always kept up.
We focus on scuba equipment that supports more comfortable, confident diving. That includes BCDs, exposure protection, masks, accessories, and other dive essentials selected with practical fit questions in mind—not just a manufacturer’s size label.
We do not believe a diver should have to settle for uncomfortable equipment, vague sizing advice, or the feeling that they are not the customer a dive shop had in mind. Diving is for exploration, adventure, community, healing, and joy. Your gear should help you get there.

Do you provide medical or dive-clearance advice?
No. We can help with equipment selection, but medical fitness to dive and clearance after cancer treatment or any other health condition should come from a qualified healthcare professional and, when appropriate, a dive-medicine clinician.
