OMER 7mm Holostone Camouflage Freediving Wetsuit Pieces

Regular price From $194.25

Quick answer: The OMER 7mm Holostone is a two-piece camouflage spearfishing and freediving wetsuit with an open-cell interior, ultra-stretch neoprene and fabric, a reinforced loading pad, abrasion-resistant knees and wrist, ankle and face seals. This listing is the top only, in size 2 (SM).

Straight talk on fit

OMER says the Holostone uses a new high-stretch neoprene that makes it the stretchiest suit in its lineup, and that all that stretch lets it fit a wide range of body types. The full line runs from S/2 to 3XL/7. This particular listing, though, is only the top, in size 2 (SM). If you need a bigger size or the matching pants, this isn't the one, and we'd rather tell you now than have you find out when the box arrives. Why open cell is different

Open-cell neoprene is a specialist material, and it comes with trade-offs. OMER's own notes say the suit is designed to be put on with a lubricant such as Suit Juice, and that its one real drawback is a tendency to tear, most often while it's being put on or taken off. Handled gently, OMER says it can be a valued, long-lasting piece of gear. Fingernails are the usual culprit, so take your time.

About the camo

The Holostone pattern mixes in-focus and out-of-focus shapes with shades of brown fading almost to white. OMER says the lighter tones reflect ambient color, which helps the pattern blend into a range of environments, and that it's become one of its most popular patterns.

Before you buy

House of Scuba states it can't accept returns or exchanges on open-cell suits that come back used or with fingernail tears or other neoprene damage, so try it on carefully, with lubricant. Read Easy to Put On Wetsuit: What to Look For.
