At the heart of the Leatherback DIR Deluxe is the NEX DIR Harness, designed for divers who appreciate a clean, streamlined approach to equipment configuration.

And NEX adds included shoulder pads for additional comfort.

The Leatherback DIR Deluxe lets you select from available NEX Leatherback wing options, allowing you to choose the wing that makes sense for your diving and equipment configuration.

NEX offers the Leatherback DIR Deluxe with two distinct wing construction options.

Cordura 1000 TPU

Choose Cordura 1000 TPU, featuring a thermal polyurethane coating, for a rugged wing designed for the demands of regular diving.

It's the traditional choice for the diver who wants durable construction in a proven technical-diving material.

Knight Shield

Then there's Knight Shield.

NEX describes Knight Shield as military-grade and bulletproof, providing an exceptionally rugged option for divers who want to step beyond traditional Cordura construction.

A Wing Designed Around the Golden Ratio

The NEX Leatherback wing isn't simply another donut-shaped air cell.

Developed with Knight Divers in Malta, its design is based on the Golden Ratio to promote superior trim and comfort across the water column.

At the surface, the design provides exceptional lumbar support, helping you maintain a comfortable head-up position before descent.

Once underwater, the tapered upper portion of the wing helps reduce the tendency for buoyancy high on the system to push the diver's head upward, supporting a more natural horizontal position.
